Paere Dansk’s Mother Earth table upgrades midcentury modern Danish design by incorporating joinery techniques from China that rely on solid wood and avoid any metal whatsoever. Mother Earth can be assembled as a playful round cocktail table or card table alongside a rectangular desk or kitchen table, or as a square dining table with a lazy susan at its centre. To join the round with the square, Oliver Olsen designed a sliding lock at 8 points that takes advantage of the dynamic and malleable nature of solid wood. Mother Earth is the culmination of 20 years of buying, restoring and re-designing in solid wood midcentury modern Danish tables and chairs.

Danish modern meets Chinese craftsmanship in the Mother Earth table - no metal instead using interlocking dovetails, mortices, tenons and solid wood.
